About Us
Our Beginnings
Quickly I
glanced around the room as I settled into my seat. An uneasy feeling
began to overtake me. Here I was, seated with the organization's
top leadership and all I could think was 'What am I supposed to
do now?'
For some
time I had been struggling with what it meant to be a leader and
what it meant to be a servant. The two seemed in direct opposition
to one another and yet I knew I was called to both.
As
I searched for answers, I began to rediscover the basic truths
that would change my life. This began my pilgrimage.
I first shared
what I was learning one-on-one, then to small groups, and finally
with that same group of top leaders. In the fall of 1995 I developed
a series of analogies, Baseball, Golf & Fine Music:
the Essence of Leadership, to help communicate principles
and in January 1996 the first training was held and Leader Servant
International was launched.
